Revelation 15 describes seven angels with the seven last plagues that God sends down on the earth to the un-repented man. We see that the plagues are similar to the trumpet judgments but is greater in intensity and in size. God's wrath is complete with these seven bowl judgments. After these, Jesus returns to the earth.
We are further told that nobody can enter into heaven until the bowl judgments are complete. The door to heaven is closed; and only the very few who turn to God in these final hours, will have to wait until all the judgments are complete.
Revelation 16 continues with these judgments ....
Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go, pour out the seven bowls of God's wrath on the earth." [Rev 16 : 1 NIV]
The bowl judments are summarised as follows:
We know without a doubt this is Gods' wrath descending on the earth.
First Gods wrath descends on those who have accepted the mark of the beast. They break out in painful sores all over there bodies. If this is not enough, thereafter the sea and rivers turn to blood; causing lack of drinking water and food. People are now full of sores and are dying of starvation and thirst.
Revelation 16:6 tells us that this is Gods' retribution for all the saints and prophets they have killed through the centuries. Then the sun turns up the heat and people are burnt from the rays of the sun. The kingdom of the beast is plunged into darkness (Rev 16:10) and the Great River Euphrates dries up for the kings of the east. Three evil spirits come out of Satan [The dragon], the False prophet and the beast and go gather all people of the world to do battle in the plains of Megido - Armageddon.
And when the seventh Bowl was released, there was an exceptional earthquake. Mountains and islands disappeared off the face of the earth and huge hailstones weighing 100 pounds [ 48 kg] fell from the sky and pounded the earth.
It is quiet interesting that the kingdom of the beast is plunged into darkness whilst the Great Euphrates river dries up for the kings of the east. This confirms to us once again, that the kingdom of the beast is with the west and once again ties in to the revival of the Roman Empire. The West meets the East at the Battle of Armageddon where such atrocities occur; that if God does not intervene with his Saints, the entire world would be destroyed.
We have already seen the Eastern armies in Trumpet six. How do the trumpet judgments relate to the Bowl judgments.
We will pick the last of both and then work backwards ...

Rev 11:19 NIV

Judgment
of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.
Very similar and quiet interesting. We do know that the Seal judgments are followed by the Trumpet judgments; as Seal 7 states the 7 angels were getting ready to blow their trumpets. But knowhere does the scriptures state that the bowl judgments only start occurring after the Trumpet judgments. Lets compare the main points of the judgments against each other to see how this timing relates.
Lets start with the judgment comparisons and work backwards.
We have already identified that a similar description of Trumpet 7 and Bowl # 7 reveals both lightning, thunder and heavy hail.
Trumpet six reveals that four angels are released from the great river Euphrates and 200 million troops kill one third of the world population. The sixth bowl judgment describes that the river Euphrates is dried up to make way for the kings of the East. Once again, the only way for the armies of the east to have easy access to the battle of Armageddon is through the river Euphrates. This implies that Trumpet six is released and then Bowl six is released thereafter.
Trumpet five describes how Apollyon; one of the devils chief demons, is responsible for torturing those that are not sealed by God for a period of five months. The fifth bowl judgment reveals that the kingdom of the beast is plunged into darkness and people are in anguish from sores and there pain. This also implies that the trumpet judgments are followed by the bowl judgments.
Trumpet four states that one-third of the sun, moon and stars fall to the earth. If there is only one-third of the sun visible, this implies that the earth is not in its natural orbit. Bowl four reveals the intense heat of the sun which will naturally occur, if the earth is out of its orbit.
Trumpet three announces that one-third of the water becomes bitter whilst bowl three announces that the river and springs turn to blood. [ Blood makes water bitter ]
Trumpet 2 announces one-third of all creatures in the sea die; whilst bowl two announces that all creatures in the sea die. Once again, indicating the possibility of the trumpet judgments being followed by the Bowl judgments.
The bowl judgments either occur after each other; which is unlikely; as the massive war fought after the sixth trumpet with the kings of the East, clearly relates to the sixth Bowl judgments; as the armies of the East can only get to the plains of Megiddo; via the Euphrates river. Well, whether you agree or agree to disagree, the one thing we know is that these events; i.e., both the trumpet and the Bowl judgments, all occur within the second half of the tribulation!
