The Old testament books describe exactly what will happen, the time that God returns to judge the nations. This is the same time; that Jesus returns at His second coming. In this vision, we see a large multitude in heaven of both the rapture Saints and the Angels that are praising God for the justice He has performed. Babylon has been destroyed and everyone is praising the Lord with all they have.
The bride of Christ, is well prepared for this occasion. This is a celebration for all of Gods servants; as He is about to return to earth to complete what he set out to do.
Notice she, "the Faithful Christians", are wearing fine white linen indicating their righteousness through the blood of Christ. This event is what the bible terms the marriage supper of the lamb.

Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a huge crowd, or the roar of mighty ocean waves, or the crash of loud thunder: “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns. Let us be glad and rejoice and honor him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself. She is permitted to wear the finest white linen.” (Fine linen represents the good deeds done by the people of God.) [ Rev 19:6-8 NLT]
From the above scriptures we can clearly see that the Lord is now once again reigning over all His creation. All the faithful believers in Christ are preparing themselves to witnesses what the Lord is about to do. This is exactly what all Christians have been waiting for, the Lord to physically take control of creation. Revelation 19:6-17 describes the appearance of the Lord before His witnesses:
Heaven opened and a white horse emerged. On the horse was the Lord who was called faithful and true. The scriptures refer to the fact that He had a name that no-one knew; which is an indication that no-one could fully comprehend the nature of Him.
God has always had many names. Now He is showing himself as the "King of Kings and Lord of Lords". The omnipotent creator and the reason for mans' existence. An angel stands in the sun and shouts for all the vultures of the earth to gather around; as the Lord is about to pass judgment on the nations of the world; everyone on the earth, small and great.

We now read; that the antichrists forces gather to fight the Lord ...
Then I saw the beast gathering the kings of the earth and their armies in order to fight against the one sitting on the horse and his army. And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast—miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark of the beast and who worshiped his statue. Both the beast and his false prophet were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. Their entire army was killed by the sharp sword that came out of the mouth of the one riding the white horse. And all the vultures of the sky gorged themselves on the dead bodies. [Rev 19:17-21 NLT]
Take notice that no details of this final war are given. John merely records the final result. The Beast and the false prophet are cast into the lake of fire and the entire army that came against the Lord was decimated, not one standing. However, the Old testament scriptures does provide us with some detail of what occurs during this period. Zecharai 14 tells us that during this period, the sun and moon will be darkened and the heavens and earth will tremble. The day of battle will be one day which will be dark and in the evening their will be light ... and the Lord will be king over all the earth.
